Fedwire Operating Hours to be Expanded
The Board of Governors announced the expansion of Fedwire by three and one-half hours, opening at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the prior calendar day rather than the current opening of 12:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The change, to be made in 2004, was made to better align services with the operating hours of Asia-Pacific markets.

FFIEC Issues New HMDA Guide
The FFIEC recently issued a new version of A Guide to HMDA Reporting: Getting It Right! (PDF) The 2003 version should be used for guidance on collection and reporting of calendar year 2003, and the 1998 version should be used for calendar years 1998 through 2002. The release date for the 2004 version has not been determined.
