Community Bank Boards: New Directives, New Directions
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is offering a community bank directors training program. Sessions will be held in various locations throughout the Seventh District, on five different dates. The agenda is available for reference and registration may be completed online.
Board Seeks Comment on Reg K Amendments
In a recent press release , the Board requested comment on proposed amendments (PDF) to Reg K requiring Edge and Agreement corporations and U.S. branches, agencies, and other offices of foreign banks supervised by the Board to establish procedures for ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Comments must be submitted by June 30.
Fed Beige Book Released
The Board's latest Beige Book dated June 11, 2003 has all Districts reporting that while there are some signs of increased economic activity, conditions remain sluggish in most Districts. Details are available in the full report, including individual Reserve Bank summaries.
