Basel II Outreach Meeting Summary Available
Earlier this month, the Chicago Fed hosted one of three interagency meetings across the country to discuss the new Basel Capital Accord (Basel II) with bankers. A summary of the meetings, as well as document handouts, have now been published and provide a good perspective on the issues associated with moving to the new capital standard by 2006.

FFIEC Agencies Award Contract to Collect Bank Financial Data
The FFIEC has awarded a contract to Unisys Corporation, of McLean, Virginia to consolidate the collecting, editing and accessibility of bank quarterly reporting series, including Call Reports. The system will be developed and piloted over the next 18 months, to enable the September 2004 call reports to be filed using the system. Details.
