Hardcopy Distribution of Regulatory Update to be Discontinued
In light of the electronic communication channels now available, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will discontinue the hardcopy distribution of Regulatory Update in September.

To prepare for this, all current recipients of Regulatory Update in hardcopy are encouraged to take advantage of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's free electronic subscription service. This service will send an e-mail directly to users when new issues of Regulatory Update have been posted to the website.

Board to Withdraw Proposed Amendments to CRA Regulations
The Board recently announced its intention to withdraw its proposal for amendments to Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) regulations, which was announced in February.

Agencies Issue Final Rule on Capital Requirements for Asset-Backed Commercial Paper Programs
In a joint press release, the federal banking and thrift regulatory agencies issued a final rule amending their risk-based capital standards in regards to asset-backed commercial paper programs. The rule, which will be published shortly in the Federal Register, will become effective on September 30, 2004.
