Board Requests Comment on Revisions to Bank Holding Company Rating System
In a press release, the Board requested public comment on proposed revisions that would better align the bank holding company rating system with current supervisory practices.

Comments are due by September 21, 2004.

Latest Beige Book Released
The Board's latest Beige Book report indicates that economic activity continued to expand in June and early July throughout the districts, although several districts reported that the rate of growth moderated. Details are available in the full report, including individual Reserve Bank summaries.

Revised Bank Holding Company Supervision Manual Available
The Board recently released the June 2004 update to the Bank Holding Company Supervision Manual.

FFIEC Announces Availability of HMDA and CRA Data
In separate press releases, the FFIEC announced the availability of data on mortgage lending reported by financial institutions covered by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), as well as data on small business, small farm, and community development lending reported by commercial banks and thrifts covered by the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
