Agencies Issue Final Guidance on Overdraft Protection Programs
The federal bank and credit union regulatory agencies announced final guidance to assist depository institutions in disclosing and administering overdraft protection programs. These programs may be offered as an alternative to traditional ways of covering overdrafts. The guidance concludes a process begun with a June 2004 proposal for public comment.
