Michigan Money Smart Week 2009

The Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, along with more than 125 local organizations, will hold the sixth annual Money Smart Week April 18–25, 2009. The weeklong series of classes heighten awareness to the importance of financial literacy and provides financial educational programming to the public free of charge throughout the state of Michigan.

Fifth Annual Money Smart Ambassador Contest

More details coming soon! Once again, Chrysler Financial, Ford Motor Credit and GMAC Financial Services will sponsor a high school scholarship contest for local high school students. Applications and contest rules will be posted here in late 2008 or early 2009.

Second Annual Money Smart Junior Ambassador Contest

The Michigan Jump $tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy will hold another Junior Ambassador Contest for Michigan middle school students. Details will be posted when available.

Michigan Money Smart Week 2008 Annual Report

The 2008 annual report is out. Events at this year's MSW ranged from videos to a Youth Entrepreneur Bazaar to a Spring Fling for seniors. Money Smart Ambassador Artem Konotopskiy was featured in a YouTube video. To learn about other events and our partners, check out the full report (PDF,2.43MB).
