New Developments in State Business Taxation

On April 4, 2007, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the National Tax Association of the University of Illinois Institute of Government and Public Affairs co-sponsored a conference on state business taxation. This half-day program examined both recent changes and proposed changes to business taxation by the states. In particular, the program examined the gross receipts tax, expanded service taxation and application of other business oriented fees.
