Holding Company Data
Data from 1986 to current are available as quarterly datasets in compressed zip files. To receive updates when new data are available, click on the link to the subscription form, in the sidebar to the right, and select "Financial Holding Company Data" from the list of subscriptions.
Financial data are available for:
- FR Y-9C—All domestic holding companies on a consolidated basis;
- FR Y-9LP—All large domestic holding companies on an unconsolidated parent only basis; and
- FR Y-9SP—All small domestic holding companies on an unconsolidated parent basis, including balance sheet and income information for all three catagories.
Note: FR Y-9C and FR Y-9LP data are collected quarterly; FR Y-9SP is collected semiannually.

A selection of Frequently Asked Questions regarding Holding Company data
A SAS program, provided as text, for users to import the caret delimited files to a SAS dataset. The program allows the resultant dataset to retain the correct character or numeric format for each column.
A read.table string for R, provided as text, for users to import the caret delimited files to an R table. As in the SAS program above, the table retains the correct character or numeric format for each column.

Holding Companies Name List (updated 11/05/2012)
Provides the NAME, CITY, STATE, ENTITY TYPE and ID for all Holding Companies. ID can be matched with RSSD9001 in the data files where applicable.

BHCF (All Y-9 Series) Variables
List of financial and text variables contained in the data files:
"MDRM-Start Date-End Date-Name-Confidentiality" for all BHCF items. Select "ALL" or a specific segment of the BHCF series from the drop down list.
Structure and Geographical Variables
List of structure and geographical variables contained in the data files:
