Fed Challenge Competition Dates

The competition schedule will look very different to our past competitors, but don't be afraid. The changes were enacted to heighten the student experience. Given a key ingredient to our experiential programming is bring students into our doors as the nation's central bank, this year all the first round competitions will be at a Chicago Fed location. We are excited to announce that the 2010 Midwest Fed Challenge will take place on April 30, 2010. The first round of competition for the states of IL, IN, WI and IA will take place the morning of April 30, 2010. The final district championship will take place that afternoon. All participating teams will be able to stay and watch the final round.

District Competition Dates

States Date Location
IL, IN, WI and IA First Round April 30, 2010 Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago
MI First Round April 12, 2010 Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago—Detroit Branch
Final Regional Championship April 30, 2010 Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago

The final round will have one representative from each of the 5 states in our region. Given the change in geographic location for many of the first rounds, the Chicago Fed is offering some housing assistance—one night of hotel stay (2 per room) for teams that are required to travel greater than 175 miles. If you are interested, please contact Cindy Ivanac-Lillig.

National Competition Date

District winners from across the nation meet at the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. to determine the National High School Fed Challenge champion on May 18, 2010.
