Seventeenth Economic Outlook Symposium

A table of numbers

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Senior Economist and Economic Advisor William Strauss presented the consensus economic outlook using the forecasts of thirty-five academic and business economists. The forecasters predict the economic expansion will continue into 2004, having its best year since 1999. Chief economists and senior executives from the auto, banking, machinery, and steel industries provided an outlook on their sector. Notable researchers and strategists discussed fiscal policy and international trade.
