Bank and CDFI Small Business Finance Training and Opportunity Finance Network Regional Meeting

You are invited to participate in a “Bank and CDFI Small Business Finance Training,” scheduled for Wednesday, February 9, 2011 and sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Opportunity Finance Network and National Community Investment Fund (NCIF).

The purpose of this session is to provide up-to-date information and details on the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Small Loan and Community Advantage Programs and the U.S. Treasury Department’s implementation of the Small Business Jobs Act, including:

  • $30 Billion Small Business Lending Fund for Banks
  • $300 million Small Business Lending Facility for Community Development Loan Funds
  • $2-3 Billion Federally Guaranteed CDFI Bond Program
  • $1.5 Billion State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI)
  • Enhancements to SBA programs

While there is no charge for this event, seating is limited and will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

You are also invited to attend the Opportunity Finance Network Midwest Regional Meeting on February 10. The meeting will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank from 9:30am to 4:00pm. The OFN Midwest Regional Meeting agenda includes opportunities to learn about the work of CDFIs throughout the Midwest, an opportunity finance industry update from OFN President and CEO Mark Pinsky, a discussion of bank regulation and how it impacts CDFIs, and federal and state policy issues related to CDFIs.
