As GreenStone Farm Credit Services' chief credit officer, Paul Anderson is responsible for maintaining sound lending operations including underwriting, approvals, credit policies and procedures and credit administration. He provides leadership and communications for the association's credit direction, lending philosophy and risk management. He also develops and assists in conducting credit education and training, in addition to coordinating the association's response to its internal credit review programs and external audit reviews of credit.

Anderson has more than 29 years of experience with the Farm Credit System. He started his career as a loan officer with Farm Credit Services of Appleton in 1983 in its Clintonville, WI, branch. In 1985, he accepted a promotion to the position of director of internal audit and review for Farm Credit Services of Northeast Wisconsin. From 1988 to 1992, he was responsible for lending functions as director of special credit and senior credit officer. In 1992 he accepted a position with AgriBank as a senior credit officer and was subsequently promoted to manager of credit in 1995 overseeing their high risk loan portfolio in Wisconsin. Anderson accepted the position of director of risk assets with GreenStone in 2004. He was promoted to vice president of credit in 2005, and served in this capacity until his promotion to senior vice president and chief credit officer in November 2009. Anderson completed the University of Wisconsin's Farm and Industry Short Course prior to attending the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, where he obtained a bachelor of science degree in farm management and animal science. He is a graduate of the Minnesota Risk Management Association's Commercial Lending Academy, as well as the Graduate School of Banking Program at Louisiana State University.
