Midwest Manufacturing Output Rises in November
The Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index (CFMMI) rose 0.1% in November to a
seasonally adjusted level of 104.2 (1997=100). Revised data show the index was down 0.4%
to 104.1 in October. The Federal Reserve Board’s industrial production index for manufacturing
(IPMFG) was up 0.1% in November after falling 0.4% in October. November
output in the region was 3.0% higher than a year earlier, while output in the nation was
1.6% higher.
