Midwest Manufacturing Output Falls in June
The Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index (CFMMI) fell 0.7% in June, to a seasonally
adjusted level of 116.2 (1997=100). Revised data show the index increased 0.1% in
May, to 117.0. The Federal Reserve Board’s industrial production index for manufacturing
(IPMFG) was unchanged in June. Regional output in June was 7.6% higher than a year
earlier, a larger increase than the nation’s 5.9%.
