The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago ("FRBC" or "Bank") requires independent contractors and companies that do business with or seek to do business with the FRBC to act with honesty and integrity in their dealings with the Bank.
Companies and independent contractors must also comply with the FRBC’s Anti-Fraud Policy. Please review this link for more information regarding the Bank’s Anti-Fraud Policy and Procedures.
The FRBC uses competitive procedures, which include requests for quotations and requests for proposals, to acquire the goods and services needed from prequalified suppliers. The Bank awards contracts to those suppliers that best meet its needs in terms of price, quality, availability and service.
In most circumstances, the Bank issues its requests for quotations and proposals electronically and requires suppliers to submit their quotations or proposals electronically.
The majority of suppliers will also need to have an account with the Federal Reserve System’s new Ariba environment. Information on how to enter/view purchase orders, submit invoices, and complete other relevant activities in the FRBC’s Ariba system are listed on the right.
Please note, the FRBC does not participate in contracts executed by the General Services Administration and is not allowed to purchase goods or services off of Federal supply schedules.

Information Technology & National Contracts
Federal Reserve Information technology (FRIT) is a national IT service provider within the FRS. FRIT provides a variety of services for the FRS including operational and project services, enterprise IT architecture, information security policy, and assurance service. FRIT develops and executes national contracts for technology related products and services that, when sourced collectively, provide the best value for multiple Reserve Banks.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, along with the other 11 Reserve Banks in the Federal Reserve System (FRS), is supported by the National Procurement Office (NPO). The NPO, which is located in the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, is a procurement function that develops and executes national contracts for certain goods and services, that when sourced collectively, provide the best value for multiple Reserve Banks that participate under the national contracts.
