Agencies Release Annual CRA Asset-size Threshold Adjustments for Small & Intermediate Small Banks
In a press release, the federal bank regulatory agencies announced the annual adjustment to the asset-size thresholds used to define "small bank" and "intermediate small bank" under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) regulations. The asset-size threshold adjustments are effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Agencies Issue Final Statement Concerning Elevated Risk Complex Structured Finance Activities  
On Jan. 5, 2007, five federal agencies issued a final statement that describes the types of internal controls and risk management procedures that should help financial institutions identify, manage, and address the heightened legal and reputational risks that may arise from certain complex structured finance transactions (CSFTs).
