Federal Regulators Publish CRA Community List 
The federal banking regulators on June 1 published the 2007 list of distressed or underserved non-metropolitan middle-income areas in which bank revitalization or stabilization activities will receive Community Reinvestment Act consideration as community development.

Agencies Issue Final Illustrations of Consumer Information for Nontraditional Mortgage Products 
In a press release, the federal bank, thrift and credit union regulatory agencies announced final illustrations of consumer information intended to help institutions implement the consumer protection portion of the Interagency Guidance on Nontraditional Mortgage Product Risks that the agencies adopted on Oct. 4, 2006.

OTS's Regional Restructuring Establishes a New Central Region, Headquartered in Chicago 
The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) recently announced a restructuring of its regional map, forming a new Central Region and creating a new regional office headquartered in Chicago. Beginning in the third quarter of 2007, this new office assumes oversight and supervision of more than 200 OTS-regulated thrifts and their holding companies in five states: Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan.
