Robin Newberger is a senior business economist in the community development and policy studies department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Newberger’s areas of interest include banking and financial services for low- and moderate-income consumers; asset-building and savings programs for lower-income consumers; and issues related to the growth and sustainability of community development finance institutions.


Before working at the Chicago Fed, Newberger wrote for the Economist Intelligence Unit in Quito, Ecuador, and worked as a program manager in microenterprise development at the Corporation for Enterprise Development in Washington, DC. 


She received a B.A. in philosophy from Columbia University and an M.P.P. at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Newberger is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
