The Seventh Federal Reserve District has a branch in Detroit with its own board of directors. The building was completed in 2005 and is home to a high speed cash processing unit, but there’s more to Detroit than cash. There’s a visitors center where people can view cash processing and learn more about the Federal Reserve. The Detroit branch is home to staff in supervision and regulation, economic research and community development and policy studies departments. The Detroit branch employs law enforcement officers, facilities management staff and people practices.
