Anita Charlot

Senior Business Operations Associate and MOMA Chicago Office Manager,
Market Operations Monitoring and Analysis

  1. Where are you from? Chicago
  2. What is your educational background? I have a B.S. in metaphysics from the American Institute of Holistic Theology and a B.S. in business administration from Chicago State University.
  3. When did you start at the Bank? 2016.
  4. What do you do at the Bank?

I am the Deputy to the MOMA Chief Operations Officer and Managing Director of the MOMA Chicago office. I also serve as the bridge, project and process manager between our MOMA New York office and our MOMA Chicago office which is responsible for managing the day to day split operations.

In the course of my work, I maintain relationships between the New York and Chicago Fed’s Technology, Audio Visual, Telecommunications and Facilities teams to ensure that at any point during the day, MOMA Chicago is able to take over all New York Fed open market and foreign currency operations in the event that our NY Fed location is unable to do so.

  5. Why do you like working here? Being in the unique position of being employed by the New York Fed while being located at the Chicago Fed provides me the opportunity to build partnerships across both locations. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the teams on both sides, MOMA Chicago’s split operations with our MOMA New York’s office are seamless. Even though we are technically “tenants” in the building, we are not treated any differently. It’s like belonging to two families.
  6. Why is the Fed a good place to work? Working for the bank allows you to serve the public in a way that is meaningful and impactful. The commitment to diversity and inclusion as well as work life balance creates a culture where everyone is professional, courteous and respectful of each other. There are many opportunities to grow, even across districts.
  7. What do you do in your free time? My passion is coaching women, particularly those that have been unlucky in love or in abusive relationships, on how to heal their hearts and believe in the possibility of love again. A big part of that is to help women attract and maintain healthy relationships. My goal is to help as many women as possible recognize the signs of an abuser so that they can avoid getting involved or find the courage to leave them.
