Priyanka Thompson is a Payments Policy Analyst in the Payments Policy Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Her work focuses on synthetic identity fraud, emerging payment trends, payment system evolution, cross-border payments, and international perspectives on the role of central banks in the implementation of faster payments.
Prior to joining the Payments Policy Group, Priyanka served in various functions throughout the Federal Reserve System, including finance and strategy oversight at the Board of Governors in Washington, DC, and in Strategies for Improving the U.S. payment system (SIPS) in Chicago, where she supported the Secure Payments Task Force and worked to develop the Federal Reserve’s Secure Payments strategic plan. She received her B.A. from the University of Virginia and is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®). She is currently pursuing her MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
