DETROIT OFFICE
Detroit is experiencing a renaissance, and the Chicago Fed is proud to
have a branch here. This facility is home to a high-speed cash-processing unit, plus a visitors
center. Team members at this facility work in supervision and regulation, economic research,
community development, policy studies, law enforcement, facilities management, and other areas.

SUSTAINABILITY
EFFORT
We are taking purposeful steps toward greater sustainability at our Chicago and Detroit
branches, and are proud to have made measurable progress, with both facilities earning
distinguished sustainability and green design honors. Our Chicago building has achieved the
U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold status.
Our Detroit branch earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® rating.

diverting the drain back into our cooling towers.
