Generally we fulfill speaking requests from nonprofit/not-for-profit organizations and/or events that will be open to the public. The Chicago Fed will not speak to individual organizations or clients of organizations.

Please be advised that there are timing restrictions — including Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) blackout periods — for certain types of speeches. A blackout period begins one week before meetings of the FOMC and lasts until the Friday following the meeting.
