Biography

Carrie Jankowski is a business economist in the financial markets group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Jankowski is part of the payments studies team, conducting research on emerging payments technologies. Currently, her research interests include electronic toll collection, mobile payments and immigrants' payment choices. She had previously served in a similar capacity in the economic research department. Her most current research is available on the financial markets group website.

Prior to joining the Chicago Fed as an associate economist in 2001, Jankowski was a field economist with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). During her time at the BLS, she worked on the Employment Cost Index (ECI) and the National Compensation Survey (NCS). Jankowski received a B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan and is pursuing an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
