Transformation: Building on the Past and Looking to the Future

Risk Conference 2018

The transformation of the financial services sector in recent years has been dramatic. Banks are rapidly adopting new technologies and the tech sector has sparked a digital transformation across numerous industries. In the world of data analytics, a growing number of data sources can be mined with artificial intelligence and machine learning. Even workplace culture and consumer behavior are changing with Millennials and Generation Z as the newest hires and expanding client base for financial services. This dramatic transformation has raised new issues for risk management and regulation of the U.S. banking sector. The Federal Bank of Chicago hosted on April 4-5, 2018, the Eleventh Annual Risk Conference on “Transformation: Building on the past and looking to the future," co-sponsored by the Center for Financial Services at DePaul University and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
