Mr. Hartman joined the Citizens Republic Bancorp in February 2002 and is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Citizens Republic Bancorp is a diversified financial services company with $13.3 billion in assets and provides a wide range of commercial, consumer, mortgage banking, trust and financial planning services to a broad client base. Citizens Republic serves communities in Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin as Citizens Bank and Republic Bank, and in Iowa as F&M Bank, with 270 offices and 286 ATMs. Citizens Republic Bancorp is the largest bank holding company headquartered in Michigan, with roots dating back to 1871, and the 43^rd largest bank holding company headquartered in the United States.

Prior to joining Citizens, Mr. Hartman served in various positions at the state and regional levels for a large financial institution, including direct responsibility for asset-based financing, credit and marketing support.
