The State of Southeast Michigan Real Estate and Development
Please join us Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm ET (7:30 am to 1:30 pm CT) at the Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The program will provide updates on Metro Detroit’s commercial and residential real estate markets and share the outlook for future development that could bring significant change to the city of Detroit and surrounding areas.
The event will feature a keynote presentation from Margaret Stagmeier, author of the 2022 book Blighted: A Story of People, Politics, and an American Housing Miracle. The panel that follows—moderated by Anika Goss-Foster, chief executive officer of Detroit Future City—will explore how work like the Atlanta apartment complex revitalization project featured in Blighted might come to fruition in Detroit. A discussion on commercial real estate will feature Dennis Bernard from Bernard Financial Group and Jack Oliver from Oliver / Hatcher Construction, and Randy Repicky from Real Estate One will conclude the program with a residential real estate market update.
This event is free and open to the public via livestream and limited in-person attendance; we encourage prompt registration to confirm your spot. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided to those participating on-site, and each attendee will be required to show a government-issued ID and pass through security.
