Rebecca Chmielewski is a senior vice president responsible for enforcement, mergers & acquisitions, and specialized functions supervision in the Supervision & Regulation department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Prior to joining the Chicago Fed in 2009, Chmielewski was a vice president at Goldman Sachs & Co, responsible for internal audit in the Americas’ regional offices. She specialized in investment management, investment and merchant banking, capital markets, and alternative investments.
Earlier in her career, Chmielewski was a senior manager in the Business Risk Services business line at Ernst & Young, providing consulting services to banking and capital markets clients. Chmielewski started her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Chmielewski earned a B.B.A. from Loyola University and an M.B.A. from University of Chicago. She is also a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
