Survey Suggests Little Change in Growth in January
The Chicago Fed Survey of Business Conditions (CFSBC) Activity Index increased to –14 in January from –17 in December, suggesting that economic growth was below trend. The CFSBC Manufacturing Activity Index increased to –15 in January from –28 in December, and the CFSBC Nonmanufacturing Activity Index decreased to –14 in January from –12 in the previous month.
