Michael L. Kubacki

Michael L. Kubacki was a member of the Chicago Board of Directors between 2004 and 2009. He is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Lake City Bank and its holding company, Lakeland Financial Corporation. Lake City Bank is a $1.5 billion bank headquartered in Warsaw, with 43 banking offices throughout northern Indiana.
Mr. Kubacki joined the company in 1998 after a 25-year career with Northern Trust Corporation, serving in its offices in Chicago and Los Angeles. He grew up in Pierceton, Indiana, and is a 1969 graduate of Pierceton High School. Mr. Kubacki received his B.S. degree in Business from Indiana University in 1973, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1976.
Mr. Kubacki has been active in a number of organizations throughout his business career. He currently serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Indiana Corporate Council. He is an advisory board member of Indiana University's College of Arts & Sciences in Bloomington; and of its School of Business and Economics in South Bend. In addition, he is a director of LaCasa of Goshen's Business Advisory Council, Elkhart County Community Foundation and the Indiana Bankers Association.
