Michigan Economic Education Video Competition

2016 Video Competion Theme: Specialization

Are you aged 13 or older? Resident of the State of Michigan? Want to win an iPad mini? If you can answer yes, to all three, then start planning your video for the 2016 Michigan Economic Education Video Competition. This year's theme is Specialization.

The videos must truly represent the topic of Specialization and should use at least one additional economic concept from the list below in describing the dynamics of specialization.

  • Trade
  • Competitive advantage
  • Productivity
  • Transaction costs
  • Exchange rates
  • Opportunity cost

Teams can include two students who are Michigan residents aged 13 or older. So, grab a friend and start planning. Deadline is May 13, 2016, at 5 pm ET.

2015 Michigan Economic Education Video Competition: We Have a Winner!

The Chicago Fed is pleased to announce the winner of our new video competition in Michigan for high school students. The competition was designed to have students explore economic concepts through their own lens, both literally and figuratively. The theme of the contest in 2015 was Opportunity Costs. The winners of the iPad mini are Josh Lank and Jeff Brooks from Livonia Stevenson High School in Livonia, MI.
