Health Care Leader Forum

On March 30–31, 2009, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Detroit Regional Chamber co-sponsored the third annual forum examining health care delivery in the U.S. The program analyzed the role of employers in creating value in the health care industry. Prospective programs likely to be enacted in Washington were also evaluated and assessed.

The conference included presentations by Dr. Joseph Heyman, chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Medical Association; Carl Camden, president and chief executive officer of Kelly Services; and Scott Wallace, Batten Fellow, Darden Graduate School of Business. In addition, there were speakers and panels that examined the role that states play in the health care system as the federal participation increases.
