Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise Strategy Forum

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago hosted a series of capacity building forums designed specifically for emerging minority and women owned businesses (MWBEs). We define emerging as MWBEs with annual revenues in excess of $1 million. The inaugural session, New Strategies for a New Economy, is designed to provide chief executive officers an opportunity to examine the changing business landscape and obtain insights that can augment their 2012 business plans.
Highlights include the following:
- A panel of leading experts on Overcoming the Challenges of this New Economy
- A discussion on the Ten Characteristics of Scalable Suppliers
- An overview of how to use strategic alliances to grow your business
- Insights on (access to capital or the economic climate)
The session convened from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CT) and co-hosted by the Chicago Minority Business Development Council, Chicago United and the Women’s Business Development Council along with the Chicago Fed. Attendance will be limited to 125 to facilitate a productive learning environment.
