Preventing the Next State Budget Crisis: Improving Budget Transparency to Bolster Fiscal Sustainability

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Volcker Alliance and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy hosted the Preventing the Next State Budget Crisis: Improving Budget Transparency to Bolster Fiscal Sustainability conference on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

The conference addressed a key research interest of the bank, namely sustaining the fiscal health of state and local governments through better budgeting methods. In addition, it allows the bank to build relationships with strategic partners in this field such as the Volcker Alliance, the Lincoln Land Institute.
