The Economic Development Forum, "Updates on the Midwest Economy & What Bankers Need to Know Regarding a Recent Fair Lending Discrimination Settlement, featured updates from two key departments at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago – Economic Research and Supervision & Regulation:

  • Thomas Klier, senior economist and research advisor, provided an update on the current state of the economy, with a focus on how Wisconsin is performing.
  • Scott Grotewold, fair lending risk specialist, covered a recent discrimination settlement. Mr. Grotewold's presentation tailored toward bankers and stimulated an interactive dialogue on risk management best practices, legal and reputational risk, and community advocacy groups.
