Economic Development Forum - Milwaukee

Attendees joined us for an economic development forum titled “Updates on the Midwest Economy & Recent Fair Lending Developments.”

This forum featured updates from two key departments at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago - Economic Research and Supervision & Regulation:

  • Thomas Klier, senior economist and research advisor, will provide an update on the current state of the economy, with a focus on how Wisconsin is performing.
  • Scott Grotewold, fair lending risk specialist, will cover two very recent discrimination settlements and newly proposed amendments to HUD’s disparate impact regulation.

The forum was open to the public and held at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee's School of Continuing Education, located on the 7th floor of the historic Plankinton Building.

The event convened as a working lunch from noon to 1:15 p.m. Presentations began at noon, and the event ended promptly at 1:15 p.m.
