About
We have been exploring with communities throughout the region the opportunities to overcome longstanding inequities and accelerate recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Project Hometown has been the Chicago Fed’s commitment to our communities as they were confronting the challenges of the pandemic and seeking new opportunities to thrive. Through virtual engagement, the initiative leveraged diverse insights from experts, civic and business leaders, researchers, concerned residents, and policymakers to hear about the pandemic’s myriad impacts and help identify solutions to our region’s most-pressing barriers to economic opportunity, including systemic racism and discrimination.
- Inclusive economic growth
- Access to capital for minority businesses
