Project Hometown Video Contest – Judging Process

Submission will be eliminated:
  • If the video is less than 1 minute or more than 3 minutes.
  • If any portion of the video is inappropriate. (e.g., has foul, racist, bigoted language or imagery; or takes a partisan position).

VIDEO EVALUATION

Content - Judges will look for videos that:

  • Identify an important and relevant issue faced by the community
  • Give specific examples of how the issue impacts the producer or the community

Style - Judges will look for videos that are:

  • Original, innovative, and creative

Technical Quality - Judges will evaluate the video quality for

  • Well planned with smooth transitions. Sound is balanced, and speakers are easy to understand. Most sound and visuals reinforce the video’s message/content.
