Christopher. Koopmans is a senior vice president in Supervision and Regulation at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and currently oversees enforcement, mergers, acquisitions, and specialized functions. Koopmans joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2004 and has held various responsibilities and leadership roles throughout the Supervision and Regulation department, including evaluating firms for inclusion in the Troubled Asset Repurchase Program (TARP), execution of the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), supervision of large, regional, and community banks, cyber security supervision, bank service provider supervision, and financial market utility supervision.
Koopmans holds, with honors, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in analytical finance and economics, and a B.A. from Hope College in economics.
Koopmans enjoys exercising, theology, and spending time with his family.
