As a senior vice president, Kristin is responsible for leading the National Programs, Policy & Risk (NPPR) division within the Supervision & Regulation department. NPPR staff and leaders provide leadership and support to System supervisory efforts as well as local identification, analysis, and communication of banking/financial industry risks. NPPR houses resources for national programs, including the Wholesale Credit Risk Center, the National Stress Testing Program, and the Shared National Credit Reserve Bank Partner program. In addition, NPPR supports the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s contributions to the supervisory oversight of the LISCC and Large and Foreign Bank supervisory programs. NPPR also provides risk and resiliency support to the Chicago Fed more broadly, collaborating with other departments to provide supervisory input to the pre-FOMC process, Federal Advisory Committee research, and policy briefing assistance to financial stability issues. Kristin is a member of several senior level committees in the Federal Reserve System and in Chicago.

Prior to her current role, Kristin was Vice President and Co-Chair of the Novel Activities Supervision Program, a System national program responsible for banks engaging in innovative technologies and partnerships including distributed ledger technology and digital assets. Prior to that role, Kristin was Vice President leading the Wholesale Credit Risk Center in the Chicago Supervision and Regulation Department.

Kristin began her career with the Federal Reserve System at the FRB Kansas City-Denver Branch and later transferred to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She is a commissioned bank examiner with experience in each of the banking portfolios. Over the course of her career, Kristin has contributed to and led various System initiatives and committees and served in a number of leadership positions throughout the Federal Reserve System. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve System, Kristin worked for Nathan Associates, an economic consulting firm in Arlington, VA.

She earned her master’s degree in financial economics for public policy from American University (Washington, D.C.) and holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from University of New Hampshire.
