Rick Tuttle has been an Advisory Council member since 2014. He is co-founder of Prospect Partners, LLC. As a veteran lower-middle-market investor with nearly 30 years of experience investing in small companies, he is involved in all aspects of investment sourcing, execution, and management. Tuttle currently serves as chairman of five of Prospect Partners’ portfolio companies, which occupy a range of manufacturing, distribution, and service markets. They are: ESI Lighting, Inc., provider of highly energy-efficient lighting systems; Polymer Holding Corporation, manufacturer of low-volume, close-tolerance plastic parts and assemblies; Tender Products, Inc., maker/distributor of popular outdoor personal-care products and first-aid kits; Velvac Holdings, Inc., manufacturer/supplier of exterior mirror and vision systems and other component parts for the truck, recreational vehicle and specialty vehicle industries; and WDP Holdings Corp., provider of refurbished computer and networking equipment and data center services.
Prior to co-founding Prospect Partners in 1998, Tuttle was executive vice president of Corporate Development for Health Care & Retirement Corp. (now Manor Care, Inc.), a $4 billion healthcare services company. Before that, he was a principal of private equity firm Golder, Thoma & Cressey (now GTCR). Earlier, he held managerial roles at McKinsey & Company and at a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum. Tuttle's outside board positions include a directorship of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. He also previously served as a director of the NYSE companies, Manor Care, Inc. and Cable Design Technologies. Tuttle earned a BA from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
