Survey Suggests Little Change in Growth in April
The Chicago Fed Survey of Economic Conditions (CFSEC) Activity Index decreased to +17 in April from +22 in March, suggesting that economic growth was above trend. The CFSEC Manufacturing Activity Index decreased to +22 in April from +46 in March, but the CFSEC Nonmanufacturing Activity Index increased to +13 in April from +11 in the previous month.
