Summit on Regional Competitiveness

The Alliance for Regional Development was formed following the publication of the Chicago Tri-State Metropolitan Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Review to convene stakeholders and implement the Review’s recommendations.

Throughout this year, four working teams, comprised of regional leaders in government, academia and the private sector, have met each month and will showcase successful examples of cross jurisdictional collaboration in the areas of:

• Green Growth
• Workforce
• Innovation
• Transportation

In addition to the presentations by the working teams, the agenda included remarks by the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the OECD Head of the Urban Development Programme, the CEO of SnapOn, the Alliance chairmen, and others.
