Marta Lachowska is a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Lachowska completed her Ph.D. in economics at Stockholm University in 2010 and has research interests in labor economics, economics of social insurance, and economics of education. Her work has been published in the American Economic Review, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Labor Economics, and Oxford Economic Papers, among others.
Lachowska is a research fellow at the IZA - Institute of Labor Economics and an affiliated researcher at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, she was a senior economist at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research.
