Project Hometown: Diverse Perspectives, Stronger Communities

Working alongside communities throughout the region to overcome longstanding inequities and accelerate recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Project Hometown is the Chicago Fed’s commitment to our communities as they seek to recover from the pandemic and thrive. The initiative leverages diverse insights from Bank experts, civic and business leaders, and policymakers to engage with communities, hear about the challenges of the pandemic, and identify solutions to bring down long-standing barriers to economic opportunity, including systemic racism and discrimination.

Our work includes long-term, ongoing efforts around:
  • Inclusive economic growth
  • Access to capital for minority businesses
  • Youth employment
