Chicago Fed Promotions Announced
CHICAGO - The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago has announced promotions in the Supervision and Regulation, Information Technology, and Economic Research departments.
Supervision and Regulation
Nancy Beebe has been promoted to vice president in charge of monitoring the credit risk and stress testing of corporate and commercial real estate loans. She formerly was an assistant vice president. She lives in Chicago.
David Ortiz has been promoted to assistant vice president responsible for monitoring the credit risk of corporate and commercial real estate. He formerly was a risk management team leader. He lives in Clarendon Hills, Ill.
Mark Lezerkiewicz has been promoted to assistant vice president in the Information Technology department. He formerly was a manager. He lives in Naperville, Ill.
Robert Cox has joined the department’s Financial Markets Group as an assistant vice president. He formerly was the managing director and head of futures at HSBC Securities (USA). He lives in Winnetka, Ill.

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Background
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the nation’s central bank. The Chicago Reserve Bank serves the seventh Federal Reserve District, which encompasses the northern portions of Illinois and Indiana, southern Wisconsin, the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and the state of Iowa. In addition to participation in the formulation of monetary policy, each Reserve Bank supervises member banks and bank holding companies, provides financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government, and monitors economic conditions in its District.
