Joel David is a senior economist and economic advisor on the macroeconomics team in the economic research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. His research interests lie mainly in macroeconomics and finance, industrial organization, and international economics. His work has been published in several leading academic journals in economics and finance including the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies and Journal of Financial Economics.
