Midwest Manufacturing Output Falls in November
The Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index (CFMMI) fell 0.3% in November, to a
seasonally adjusted level of 117.1 (1997=100). Revised data show the index increased
1.3% in October, to 117.5. The Federal Reserve Board’s industrial production index for
manufacturing (IPMFG) rose 0.3% in November. Regional output in November was 2.6%
higher than a year earlier, less than the nation’s 4.7% increase.
