Presidential Search

The search committee for the next president was made up of non-bank members of the Chicago Fed’s Board of Directors, consistent with the Federal Reserve Act and Board of Governors policy. With support from the executive search agency Diversified Search Group, the committee worked to identify a broad and diverse pool of highly qualified candidates. The search efforts included extensive outreach to gather feedback and input from stakeholders throughout the District, as well as nominations and applications. After interviewing top candidates, the Bank's Class B and C directors appointed the new president, and the appointment was approved by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
